Be Holy In All You Do 

As I began to write, I heard the word: INTENTIONAL.

In this season, we are in need of intentionality – not toward our own desires, but toward the desires of the Lord – through the Spirit.. Our delight, trust, and ways must be rooted in Him. As Psalm 37:3–5 reminds us, we are to “trust in the Lord… delight yourself in the Lord… commit your way to the Lord.”

We are being called into intentional holy action – actions that flow from the Holy Spirit. In 1 Peter 1, the Apostle Peter commissions God’s elect into obedience to Jesus Christ through the sanctifying work of the Spirit. I believe this commission is for us now.

“Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled (Christ-controlled); set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed… Just as He who called you is holy, so be holy IN ALL YOU DO.”  1 Peter 1:13–15

With this in mind, we are calling a 400 Gathering on Monday, August 17th, for pastors, business and ministry leaders, and intercessors connected to the vision of the 400 Gathering.

As a reminder, the 400 Gatherings are not intended to be open-invitation events, though we are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and hunger expressed by so many. If you believe you are called to attend, we ask that you identify as either a pastor, ministry or business leader, or intercessor.  For those serving as intercessors, we ask that you are intentionally and actively committed to praying into the vision and purpose of the 400 Gathering.  If you are unsure whether this gathering is intended for you, please reach out to Maria at Maria@therock.org. 

We are also making intentional shifts back toward the original purpose of these gatherings. They are not meant to carry the atmosphere of a conference, but rather to function as sacred assemblies—set apart unto the Lord through intentional fasting and prayer beforehand. As pastors, leaders, and intercessors gather together in unity, our desire is to pray, worship, and seek His face so that we may receive direction and Spirit-led strategy aligned with His will for Colorado.  “Bringing the Church into a new understanding of holiness and righteousness that becomes a new way of life.” (from the 400 Vision)

In preparation for this gathering, I ask that you pray and fast earnestly for Colorado and for the intentional holy actions we are to accomplish in this hour. Our preemptive intentionality will position our minds to align with the intentions of Heaven over Colorado – bringing the alignment for the assignment – for heaven to invade earth.  

As we align ourselves with the Father’s heart, may we be rightly positioned in humility; may we refuse the misalignments pride can produce. He is the Vine; we are the branches. He is the Head; we are one body. He is the Bridegroom; we are one bride.

Aligning with His intentions requires humility.  We are called to have “the same attitude as Christ Jesus,” who “made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant” (Philippians 2:5–7).  We are also called to be “of the same mind, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose…and in humility consider others above ourselves” (Philippians 2:2–3).

The resistance we may be experiencing in Colorado may not simply be the attack of the enemy. It may be the resistance of God Himself; for He resists the proud. Pride often comes in subtle forms.  Andrew Murray, in his book on humility, warns:  “Let all teachers of holiness, whether in the pulpit or on the platform, and all seekers after holiness, whether in the closet or the convention, take warning: there is no pride so dangerous, so subtle and insidious, as the pride of holiness.” (see next paragraph for explanation)

Romans 12:3 reminds us not to think of ourselves more highly than we ought.  Yet the “pride of holiness” is an elusive mindset that we have ascended to a higher or more acceptable form of worship, revelation, or expression than others within the Body of Christ. This haughty spirit has hindered the effectiveness of the Church and fractured the unity God desires among His people.  Too often, we have chosen what we perceive to be “higher” expressions of worship over the humility and unity of the Spirit. Yet true worship is not found merely in our expressions, but in our surrender. Humility expressed through unity in the Spirit is among the highest forms of worship we can offer to God.

May we therefore humble ourselves before the Lord and willingly submit to one another in love and honor so that the Lord can build the house – His Church in Colorado.  “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)  

God will give grace for holy action to those who humble themselves.  In oneness of heart, we will see His glory (John 17)!  In dwelling together in unity, we will experience His commanded blessing (Psalm 133)!

The Expansion of the Kingdom is At-Hand – Colorado Get Ready!

IT IS TIME for Colorado to begin the establishment of a Kingdom-Minded Church…with a true and pure foundation of the Son – the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being – Jesus Christ!  I believe NOW is the time of His pleasure to reveal the heavenly strategies and blueprints for harvesting souls and cultivating warriors as part of the greatest expansion ever of the Kingdom of God in Colorado.  It is by the power of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that people will come to the knowledge of God, but it is also as the Spirit fills His Church with the knowledge of His will (heavenly strategies & blueprints) with spiritual wisdom and understanding so that we, together – as one, may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way as we bear fruit in every good work and continue to grow in the knowledge of God, strengthened with ALL POWER according to His glorious might and strength so that we may have strong endurance and great patience for the good work as we joyfully give thanks to the Father, who qualifies us to share in the inheritance of God’s holy and consecrated ones in the kingdom of light!  (taken from Col 1:9-12)

I don’t fully know or understand the kingdom strategy the Lord has for Colorado, but I do know it involves a NET, a Harvest, and Oneness…a working together in ways Colorado has never seen.  It is time for the Church of Colorado to get past differences and unite together with a single focus of our eyes on Jesus and a united response to see His kingdom come to Colorado. 

And prophets – I want to encourage you. The Lord is equipping you for this time and asking for you to prophecy the Word of the Lord over the Church for the dry bones to come to life! (but with warning – only the Word of the Lord)  May the boldness and fear of the Lord rest on the prophets so that words may be few but powerful!  On 11/17/2022 this was prophesied over Colorado by a South African prophet… “This land shall be known once again as a place of the prophets where the eagles gather. The eagles shall gather once again, but it shall not be like it used to be in the past; I will do a new thing and I will raise up a new order of prophets and it shall not be as it was in the past.  It shall be new.  For it shall be born out of intimacy and the fear of God and holiness and they shall speak from the mountaintop of intimacy and not from gifting anymore.” 

I urge us as pastors and leaders of Colorado to make an extra concerted and coordinated effort to seek the Lord with all our heart.  May we hold everything in our hand loosely as it may be requested of us and likely replaced with something new and uncomfortable.  The Lord is not looking for the experienced and wise, He is looking for the humble, the contrite in spirit, and those with a wholehearted devotion and who fear the Lord…the ones who “have been with Jesus”. (Acts 4:13)  May that be us!

July 8th will be a sacred 400 Gathering…as we enter into His presence, come into the throne room, bow before our King Jesus, and ask for His bidding.  No hype, just holy!

Word given at The Rock by Graham Cooke over Colorado in 2012:   “WITH this outpouring, I require a new stewardship (from leaders); I require that there shall be no partisan spirit, but a partnership of kingdom-minded people (the 400).  I require a partnership of fathers throughout the state(apostolic leaders) who will produce new works (kingdom strategies) and develop the sons of Heaven (cultivate warriors).  This city, this region, this state, shall be a portrait of Heaven (heaven invading earth); a visual aid to the lost; a house set on high where my glory shall be visible. You are a new poem, a craftsmanship of heaven that will overcome the religious spirit (“humility will be the mantra of these leaders”) and join together as a corporate man. Many expressions of life, one body in Christ. (THE NET!)

I believe the Lord is using the 400 Gathering to call His church together to do something supernatural in Colorado – an outpouring of the Spirit that will bring a revival movement that will establish a reformation of the church into His beautiful bride!  This is something many have cried out for, plowed the ground for, contended in prayer for, and worked diligently for, and yet we have not seen a revival movement in Colorado in over 100 years. There needs to be a wineskin of unity and oneness of the Church that has not happened. It has been talked about for years and there have even been impressive movements toward unity, but division has historically won out because of self-promotion, busyness, offenses, pride/selfish ambitions, jealousy, ‘man’-birthed programs that heavily burden the church and leaders, and more… But there is an invitation to say ‘yes’ to something the Lord has for Colorado that takes us out of our fiefdoms and into His KINGDOM! This invitation demands the effort of unity of the Spirit and action into the knowledge of the Lord’s heart and will…bringing the Church of Colorado into oneness.  We have been in a pursuit of this through the 400 Gathering now for almost 4 years now and it has come together more slowly than we had hoped and has required contending and plowing. Yet, we have continued to see the unity of the Colorado Church (the Net) increase and strengthen in the Lord!  “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin,” (Zech 4:10 NLT)

I have come to realize that this endeavor for John 17 unity goes way beyond our natural wisdom, strength, and ability to gather together.  It is a spiritual battle and will only be accomplished when in lock-step with the Spirit!  “It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.” (Zech 4:6 NLT)  He is giving us the divine power for this invitation! (2 Peter 1:3) IMAGINE – 400 pastors and churches throughout Colorado truly unite together…into a NET formation…and linked together to use their giftings, strengths, time, and resources help other churches in areas where they may be weak…with the purpose of strengthening the Colorado NET and seeing exponential kingdom expansion and spiritual growth through discipleship of the Church.

From the 400 Vision: “He is asking for those who say “Yes” to partner together in a way that they are laying down the “agenda” of building or maintaining their church, for the greater purpose of building His Church – through the unity of the Body and seeing the giftings of each church used to strengthen other churches…With a new focus of harvesting souls and cultivating warriors …. as we come into a (Kairos) time of the greatest expansion ever of the Kingdom of God.”

In September of 2019 at Worship on the Rocks, I believe the Lord opened a window, an invitation, to step into a Kairos-timed opportunity for 400 pastors and leaders to come together into a 1 John 3:16-18 love that looks like something!  It was an invitation to come together as one through prayer, fasting, worship, and seeking His face so that the kingdom war plans could be received and implemented in a way that would change the trajectory of our lives and the course of history for Colorado in a significant and powerful way…heaven invading Colorado!

I don’t know how long this invitation will remain available for our generation and for Colorado, but I don’t want to be so presumptuous that we miss it.  It is an opportune invitation, not a guarantee!   “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as they did in the rebellion.” Hebrews 3 & 4 (stated multiple times).  As the Spirit leads, we must respond in faith and obedient action without delay.  For delayed obedience is disobedience. 

While we have been waiting on Him…. He has been waiting on us!  …to no longer live according to the status quo of church.  It is time for some radical changes.  Forget the former things! He is doing a new thing!  If we want to see Revival in Colorado, then let us move into action and the Lord will fight for us and we will see the deliverance of His people!  May we respond well.

I believe the Lord is saying…There is change in the air…there is an urgency to establish the 400. Call together the leaders who will lay down their lives and the agendas of their church or ministry, for the kingdom of heaven is at-hand! Fight against the spirit of contentment and apathy. Train for war and press into the Spirit for kingdom alignment, for the battle is imminent and revival is coming.

Will we dare to believe that if we gather together in one place, with single-minded prayer, in an authentic selfless unity, with humility, and with a hunger and thirst for His presence and power, that we will see God move across our state of Colorado with a public display of His glory and power through His people in an unprecedented way! May we count the cost and may our response be “All In”!

Hello 400 Gathering Pastors, Leaders & Intercessors,

We had an amazing time together this past Monday, August 16th. Thank you for your engagement and desire to see the Church unite and for God to move in the Colorado region in a way that we have never before seen. I know a lot of you were not able to make it to this last meeting.

This is a follow-up with details and a link to the weekly call we discussed last Monday and to let you know of the upcoming 400 Meeting in October.

  • 400 Gathering Weekly NETwork Call (STARTING THIS MONDAY): Last Monday towards the end of our meeting, I briefly shared on the importance of pastors and leaders being connected regionally on a more frequent basis to know when we need to come alongside one another if a church or pastor is struggling and also to know when something amazing has happened or is happening regionally so that it can stir up and encourage the body of Christ. Nehemiah 4:19-20 “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. Whenever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us here. Our God will fight for us!” Colorado is a big region and we often don’t know what is happening outside of our area. But this is changing! We are uniting together as ONE united body with ONE head!
    • *We need each other! And even if you don’t think you need this, there is likely someone who needs to be strengthened by you! You may be needed to fight for someone else right now! We need each other…it is the way God designed it! “In fact God has arranged the parts of the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be.” (1 Cor 12:18) We each play a critical role as part of the body of Christ!

So STARTING this Monday (8/23) at 9am, let’s gather for 45 minutes via Zoom to pray and encourage each other as the body of Christ!

God’s DNA NETwork

In the Fall of 2020, the Lord showed me a picture of a net, and then began to show me another larger picture of many nets all across the region.  Jesus said, ‘every church and ministry following after Me has a net for the harvest catch.’  Then the Lord showed me these churches and ministries laying down their ‘nets’, their spheres of influence and platforms, anointing and prophetic callings, and when they did, the Lord worked with them to aid them in mending their nets and cleaning out all the debris (programs, processes, mindsets, pursuits, ambitions, etc from the old season).  As the nets were mended when laid down, the Lord started intertwining the nets so that they interlocked with one another and could no longer be differentiated from one another.  Then the Lord spoke, ‘One big net for One great catch.’  


As the fish began to be pulled in during this harvest, no one ministry or church received the credit or glory because they had learned to become One and moved as One net that worked with One accord to pull in the harvest (Acts 2:1 & 46, 4:32).  The beauty was that as this took place, our Lord Jesus received all the glory, honor and praise for what had been done as there was no longer any competition, self-seeking glory or desire to have one’s church/ministry name receive the credit.  Since it was One net, the glory went to One place…Only Jesus! I saw that as the nets were woven together, each Church & ministry shared their unique anointing with all the other churches across the region.  The churches that moved with a strong prophetic anointing were sharing and spreading that prophetic anointing all across the large net in the region and each church & ministry that was connected benefited from that anointing in the Lord.  Other churches that were especially anointed with worship or evangelism did the same, and all the churches and ministries across that NETwork of the LORD received that anointing and were blessed with increase of effectiveness in the revival.  I then saw the horizontal picture of the big net flipped into vertical position, and once I saw this, the net became an intricate, brilliantly and beautifully complex DNA strand.  As I saw this I heard the Lord say, ‘This is My Body, the DNA of Oneness with Me and with one another (John 17).’ I saw the anointing of Jesus pumping through this large DNA strand just like a heart that pumps blood through the body, yet this ‘heart beat’ pumped the breakthrough, healing, provision, acceleration, abundance, etc that God had blessed a church with and pumped it into His whole DNA NETwork that had become One in Him.


John 17:21 “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.”


I hear the Lord say, ‘I am moving my Church from covenant of lips to covenant of heart. I am anointing my Body to receive this gift of Oneness through My Spirit and blessing them with the Grace to Embrace the process and the journey of becoming ONE.  Let Go and Let ME.’  This is a Radical move of the Lord to move us away from all we’ve known corporate Church to be, and to step into being His Kingdom Warrior Bride that operates with one heart, one mind and one purpose as ONE in the LORD. 

Notes:
Acts 1:14, 2:1 & 46, 4:32 (in tune, in sync, of one heart= they were ALL going the same way spiritually together) one soul/mind-to breathe, to breathe spiritually together) Result? GREAT Power & GREAT Grace-God’s response to their corporate prayers of crying out to Him together as One!Mending of the nets- Matthew 4:21 & Mark 1:19 They were where it was familiar, doing what they had known when suddenly Jesus called out to them to leave ALL they’d known, lay down their nets and follow after Him. 

Prayer:
Lord God, we honor You and thank You for the privilege to be alive on the earth for such a time as this.  We stretch out our hands and rend our hearts crying out to You and say with One Accord, ‘Your Will, Your Way, Yahweh!!’  Holy Spirit, please lead us and guide us in the way we should go as You council us with Your eye upon us, that we may step into Your prayer for Oneness Jesus!  We cannot do this in our own strength, ability or anointing.  Jesus, we surrender to You and decree, let it be unto us according to Your Word in John 17.  We love You Lord and give You all the glory, honor and praise King Jesus!  Thanks be to You Lord God for teaching us to become One!!~Pastor Nicholas BartaJuly 10th 2021

I was sitting in my office and felt this huge urgency in my spirit where the Lord seemingly shouted to me and said “Tell them (leaders in the region) to get their infrastructure in place for the harvest! They do not have as much time as they think and they won’t have time to build it when it happens!” What this looks like is identifying your leaders in your Body (Mom’s and Dad’s), start setting up small groups, prepare and train them into discipleship if they need it, get their buy in, get their “Yes'” to whatever the Lord does next, and then tell them to “Get Ready”! It’s a “buckle up church” moment. The Lord is about to move in a significant way very soon, not just what we have seen before, but actual Revival and a Move of God.

I felt like there is going to be a very brief lull for the Lord to prepare the body to “get ready”. It’s the moment right now to finish building the ark before the animals and rain start showing up.

We are in Luke 5 season. Jesus is about to get into our boat and tell us to put the nets (our networks and relationships on the region) into to the water. The caught fish (the response of harvest) will be so high that it will begin to burst the nets. There will be such a response that there will not be enough leaders, small groups, discipleship programs, and infrastructure from the Body of Christ to hold what’s coming!

I believe where we are as the Body sit right now – is where the disciples are cleaning out their nets in Luke 5:2. Cleaning out what has been caught in the nets that needs to be removed. The Lord is removing pride, sin, immorality, lack of truth, laziness, slander, form/formulas of church, the familiarity of the presence in the wrong way (lack of fear of the Lord), assumption of what the Lord is doing, etc. out of the church (out of the nets). I did some research on why cleaning nets is so important. In Biblical times, fishermen used sailboats to fish and would drag their nets along the ocean/lake floor to get fish. They would pick up rocks, debris, seaweed, etc. If the nets weren’t cleaned, this dragging of the nets would kill any new fish caught in the net because of the pressure and weight from the rocks. If debris and seaweed weren’t removed, the decomposing could introduce disease into the new fish which would ultimately kill them.

I believe the Lord is also doing Psalm 24 in this season, “Who may ascend the hill? Those with clean hands and pure hearts… So that the King of Glory may come in.” His identifying the cleaning of hands and hearts (seeing and leading to repentance aka ‘Holy Spirit clean up crew’) to ascend so that He, the KING OF GLORY, truly may come in in an unprecedented way in the Body and this season of massive increase.

So it’s a “don’t dawdle and get ready” season. Colorado is ripe for a move of God and we are about to step into the 100-year anniversary of a revival that happened with Aimee Semple McPherson in 1921 that rode the coattails of pandemic (the Spanish Influenza).

Beloved Pastors, Leaders, Intercessors and Children of God,

I apologize for the short notice, but am prayerful that ALL of you can attend.  May the Lord rearrange anything that conflicts with this gathering.  This is an important time!

The battle is upon us.  It is not just attacking our generation, but the focus of this attack is on our children and our children’s children.  It is time for the body of Christ to rise up, link arms, and fight.  Would you be willing to gather together with the Lord’s beloved ones on February 1st to give all glory to God and to make known on earth and in the heavens and to all generations that we are one in Spirit for His glory and that His love and truth will reign? 

If we think we can fight on our own, we are mistaken.  We have tried this for decades and look where it has gotten us.  It is time to join forces.  The importance of the 400 Gathering has become more evident.  Be encouraged by the hundreds of pastors and leaders that have already joined together with the heart of Christ and an understanding of the importance of oneness in the Spirit.  However we have not reached the call for 400.   The time has come and the battle lines are forming.  The Lord has set us apart as priests and kings for His kingdom and it is time to put the enemy to flight!  

2021 WILL BE the year the true Church aligns with King Jesus.  Holiness and righteousness are eminent and true humility established through His LOVE and TRUTH will pave the way.  God is cleaning house, purifying His bride, and awakening His Church.  It is not a time to sit and watch, but to stand firm and engage.  We cannot shrink back.  

Please read the vision of the 400 Gathering given back in September 2019.  If you have heard it already, I encourage you to read it again and pray into it.  Allow the Lord to stir your heart into greater action.

Please reach out and share the vision and invite other pastors, business leaders, and ministry leaders to join us for the 400 Gathering.  Those who remain isolated will eventually crumble.  We are meant to run together – to fight together!

This is His time.  And we will be a people who are ALL IN for King Jesus.  We will be those who are willing to lay down our lives, our churches, our ministries for the greater purpose of furthering God’s kingdom.  We will engage in a course of strategy for the Church to harvest souls and cultivate kingdom warriors.  Let us prepare the way of the Lord together – AS ONE!  Heaven is about to invade Colorado!

En Worship on the Rocks (Adorando en las Rocas) 2019, mientras el pastor Peter Young hablaba sobre la historia del avivamiento de Colorado, escuché al Señor decir que el momento es ahora. Es hora de reunir a los líderes de las iglesias juntos. Sentí que había 400 líderes de la iglesia que se unirían en la región de Colorado para ver un mover del Espíritu como nunca antes.

También sentí que el Señor advirtió que no tratáramos solos de construir esto… sino que colaboráramos con Él. Este plan es SU corazón, SU idea, SU deseo, SU estrategia, y es para ESTA región. Él ya está conmoviendo los corazones de los pastores de las Iglesias. Así que este no es un argumento de venta, sino una presentación del Corazón de Dios y una invitación a unirse al plan de Dios, ¡Es su voluntad! Él está pidiendo que aquellos (pastores) que dicen “Sí” y están dispuestos a unirse, se unan en forma deabrir su entendimiento y dejar la “agenda” establecida anteriormente de construir o mantener su iglesia, por el mayor propósito de Edificar Su Iglesia – a través de la Unidad del Cuerpo y viendo los Dones de cada Iglesia utilizando sus dones para fortalecer otras iglesias.

Sentí que las llaves serán la oración extensa, el ayuno y la adoración corporal: buscar su rostro. Trayendo a la Iglesia en una nueva comprensión de la santidad y rectitud … que se convierte en un nuevo estilo de vida. Con un nuevo enfoque de cosechar almas y cultivar guerreros…. a medida que llegamos a un “tiempo” de la expansión más grande del Reino de Dios. ¡Estos serán líderes con mentalidad de reino que establecerán una iglesia con mente de reino! ¡Se requiere una PURIFICACIÓN de la Novia! ¡La justicia va a GOBERNAR en la Iglesia una vez más!

Estos pastores se dedicarán al Señor de una manera nueva. La humildad será el mantra o lema de estos líderes y esto será llevado a las iglesias – estableciendo la unidad y pureza de la Iglesia. Una vez que los 400 estén en su lugar, habrá una ola del Espíritu … de Fuego … y Amor liberado, estableciendo la Familia de Dios con Jesús como cabeza… como Señor.

Una vez establecida la unidad: sentí que habría una reunión en el estadio de los Broncos, que curiosamente, el nombre del estadio se cambió a “EMPODERMIENTO” pocos días antes de este evento. ¡Y que el estadio se LLENARA! Pero que este sería diferente a otros eventos de estadio. La gente no vendría al estadio por los “Grandes Nombres”. ¡PERO la gente vendrá porque quieren tener una experiencia con JESÚS! ¡El dibujo sería el Espíritu Santo y una demostración de Su Poder! Sentí que íbamos a experimentar el arrepentimiento de corazones, señales y milagros, grandes demostraciones del poder del Espíritu: ¡Gente que se levantara de las sillas de ruedas, muerto resucitados, toda enfermedad sería sanada! PERO sin los “Grandes nombres” como estrellas de evento.

Los fondos vendrán de fuentes inesperadas. No se requerirá promoción excepto la de boca a boca es decir pasar la voz y la utilización de redes sociales. Estaba hablando con Lou Engle esa noche y cuando dijo “2020”, ¡Mi espíritu saltó! Creemos que habrá una aceleración de manera que esto se hará realidad de una manera más rápida de lo que podríamos posiblemente verlos hecho nosotros mismos por nuestras propias habilidades, no de nuestra capacidad. Esto será algo que cambiará el curso de lahistoria… ¡El cielo invadiendo la tierra!

Cuando terminé de escribir esto, escuché al Señor cantar una nueva canción sobre nosotros, sobre esta región, sobre Colorado. … “¡Es una nueva temporada!”
